My son recently wrote an English paper on what makes a literary piece of work a classic. This got me to thinking of what makes anything a classic, for that matter.
The term “classic” is used for anything that can stand the test of time. Anything that is remembered, regarded or discussed for the duration of time. It can pertain to literature, art, music, fashion and consumer goods.
In the case of my son’s research paper, he had to prove that his literary work had lasting relevance and significance of worth that would pertain to future generations, as well as the ones before them. By doing so, he was able to prove his chosen literary work was a classic by the fact that people could relate to it throughout time.
In the case of Huffines Chevrolet of Lewisville, they are clearly a classic because they belong to the highest rank of dealerships and they offer the highest rank of models available in the market. They are an established standard for both their products and services. Not to mention, their dealership offers excellent customer service. They are a classic dealership, offering classic cars that will not only be relevant, but they will be forerunners for years to come.
The Huffines Auto Dealerships have been satisfying customers and forming lifetime friendships for over 85 years. They have been honored as the Auto Dealership Group of the Year, by the Consumers Choice Award for Business Excellence for the last five years. Their customers tell them they are a great place to do business. In 2011 and 2012, The Dallas Morning News awarded them the honor as one of the Top 100 Places to work in DFW.
